Dr. Sabrina Renteria has dedicated her life to serving Indian Country. Born and raised on the Bishop Paiute Indian Reservation, Sabrina was raised with one mission - help her people. Here at FSA, Sabrina continues to provide quality services to Tribes across the Nation. Her primary role is to assist Tribes with financial and grant management services. Currently, the focus is on COVID-19 related funding as it has been proven that this pandemic has disproportionately impacted our tribal communities.
Before joining FSA, Sabrina was the Chief Operations Officer for the Bishop Paiute Tribe. This role allowed Sabrina to provide administrative oversight and enhance various tribal departments including, Tribal Court, Enrollment, Social Services, Indian Child Welfare, Head Start, Family Formation, Tribal Historical Preservation, Information Technology, Elders Services, Environmental, and Education. Other professional experience has been with Tribal TANF, community prevention programs, mental health and addictions counseling, and hospitality.
Sabrina has a Doctorate in Public Administration with a focus on tribal leadership and governance. She also holds a Master's Degree in Public Administration and a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology and Indigenous Studies.
Outside of work and school, you can find her and her family enjoying the outdoors and roaming the Eastern Sierra's beautiful landscape. Sabrina is a member of the Bishop Paiute Tribe located in the Owens Valley of California.
